LRAD is being used for perimeter security and enforcement of exclusion zones
LRAD-RX can be operated remotely across an IP
network enabling system operators to respond to
potential threats from a safe location while
creating a complete, unmanned perimeter security
solution. LRAD-RX accepts intruder position
information from other IP-enabled sensor systems
to automatically find and track potential threats.
Drilling Platforms
LRAD was installed on the Perro Negro 3 to communicate with ships approaching the OPLAT. LRAD is being utilized to move fishing boats away from the OPLAT and to act as a layer in their overall OPLAT security plan.

- Determination of intent of groups or individuals from extended distances

Unmanned PlatformsLRAD-RX provides platform operators the ability to communicate with and deter potential threats from a remote location. Unmanned platforms are not only perceived as vulnerable targets to thieves and vandals, but also wildlife. Bird control is a growing problem for platform operators; LRAD-RX can also be used as an effective bird deterrent system.
