LRAD® Corporation Announces $1.1 Million Follow-On AHD Order from Southeast Asia
SAN DIEGO, CA – November 30, 2017 – LRAD Corporation (NASDAQ: LRAD), the world’s leading provider of acoustic hailing devices (“AHDs”) and advanced mass notification systems, today announced a $1.1 million LRAD 500X and LRAD 1000X follow-on border and maritime security order from Southeast Asia. The order is scheduled to ship in the Company’s second fiscal quarter ending March 31, 2018.
“After years of successful use and competitive product evaluations, this customer again selected LRAD. The AHDs will be installed on vessels and at fixed locations to hail, warn and communicate clearly over distance and initiate the escalation of force (“EOF”) when necessary,” remarked Richard S. Danforth, Chief Executive Officer of LRAD Corporation. “Maritime and homeland security agencies around the world are making LRAD their communication system of choice due to its superior broadcast range, vocal clarity, durability and proven performance.”
LRAD AHDs provide military and border security forces a long-range communication capability to issue authoritative voice commands and attention-commanding deterrent tones to safely enhance response capabilities and create more time and distance to determine intent and scale EOF to resolve uncertain situations and save lives.
